BFI Waste Services provides consistent, courteous and safe collection of solid waste and recyclables to single & multi-family residences in the City of Salinas. BFI services include curbside cart service, mixed recycling, bulky item, backyard collection and special services for seniors.

BFI offers trash receptacles in various sizes to fit your needs. You may choose from a 32 gallon, 64 gallon or 96 gallon trash container. This service includes UNLIMITED recycling and yard waste service (hint: save on your trash bill by recycling more!).

CURBSIDE CART COLLECTION – WHEELED CARTS MAKE IT EASY

Some helpful hints to make collection day easier for you:

• Trash = brown cart, Recycling = grey cart, Yard Waste = green cart
• Place containers at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day
• Set the container facing the street and clear of any obstructions
• Do not place electronics, tires or hazardous materials in, on top of, or next to the container otherwise it cannot be serviced.
• Lids must be closed. Fees will be assessed for extra trash.

Too much trash and not enough room in your container?

No problem!

Call Customer Care to upgrade your service level or to schedule an additional collection. Remember, if your container is overloaded extra fees will be assessed.
